Overall Satisfaction with Acumatica
Broadly, we use Acumatica in our core business management platforms to centralize financials, operations and reporting across the company, where the platform supports day to day transactions needs along with providing real-time visibility around cost and operational efficiency.
Solving automation issue: It has automated manual workings, disjoined processes and scattered functions into one umbrella, leading time saving and process optimisation.
Scalability potential: Acumatica's cost model doesn't charge per user making it easy to scale with the platform for mid-size companies like us. Real-time decision making: Real-time integrated data across various processes in the form of KPI can be tracked on real-time basis leading in-formed decision making. It also allows faster closure and accurate financial reporting.

Pros
- Real-time access to financials across firm's locations in India for better in-house sales, cost and financial health analysis
- The tool is great with respect to the creation of dashboards and KPI reporting to get visual picture of profitability and cash flow metrics across projects
Cons
- Acumatica's open API is very powerful but doesn't get integrated cleanly across every external system, challenge arises with integration of legacy systems
- Some of the platform feature's requires third-party add-ons or custom developments like advance finance report & BI.
- Sometimes it gets glitch in the system leading slower processing speed
- It has fastened up the efficiency and better insights around financial decision making with respect to real time data around project financials with dashboards, which earlier use to take more time due to scattered functionalities, leading faster time to value in core workflows
- Productivity has boosted due to automation and workflow standardisation (notifications and event triggers), reduced manual working, leading saving of man hours and bring efficiency in human capital function within organisation
I am using less of AI capabilities of the platform at this moment, as it seems "early" stage with it mostly focused on very practical automation rather than big and transformative use cases. Some of the AI backed work of the platform is getting done is the organisation related to invoice automation and anomaly detection
It helps in terms of faster response time through real time availability of data and dashboards, elimination of manual errors, smoother customer facing processing, better service delivery of project driven work, and robust financial reporting etc.
For me, it helps with enablement of a single view of project's financial health, real-time visibility into project's profitability, automation of project to ledger integration, better project reporting, and financial analysis.
Acumatica excels well against other tools due to its rich set of capabilities like deep integrated project management, financial management, scalable unlimited users, robust real-time visibility and strong customisation, outperforming Odoo's variable modules and QuickBook's limited ERP capabilities.
