Great program for PDFs
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
We use Adobe Acrobat for viewing, editing, and signing PDF's. Adobe Acrobat is a program I use daily. I think the feature set has improved significantly over my time using the program. The edit function has saved me from needing to rebuild old assets in InDesign. I cannot recommend this more.
Pros
- Signing PDF's
- Editing PDF's
- Viewing PDF's
Cons
- PDF Permissions
- Asset extraction from a PDF
- Font Issues
- PDF Edit permissions can be wonky
- Improved workarounds for secure documents
- Spell Check
- Integration with Other Systems
- Ease of Use
Adobe Acrobat came with my Adobe CC subscription, so it just made sense to me. Since it was already in my ecosystem, I figured I could go ahead and use it for what I need to get done with PDFs. I also like the ease of use; however, I particularly appreciated the integration with the Adobe CC Suite.
Honestly, it has felt more inconvenient. There are times when I am sent a PDF to sign and am unable to because I do not have the correct permissions. I wish there were more information on how to use those features or training to be able to do what I need to.
- DocuSign
- PandaDoc
Adobe does it all, including editing and viewing. DocuSign and PandaDoc are great for getting a document signed or for sharing sensitive information such as Social Security Numbers or credit card information. Acrobat is great for editing documents and serving as an all-around solution. Acrobat is amazing for signing, too, but not asking others to sign.
