Adobe Acrobat Excels at PDF Organization and Editing
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat
I use Adobe Acrobat to view and edit pdfs constantly! I'm a lead teacher for Compass Childcare, so lesson planning and building my activity booklets is something I often do. I'll purchase or find materials and then incorporate or edit them with Adobe Acrobat. We also send around pdfs internally when communicating with other locations, doing training/on-going learning, or communicating with parents.
Pros
- It makes it easy to edit and format pdfs.
- Great at organizing multiple documents into a single file.
- Perfect for creating a share-locked, sendable document to parents.
- Good integration with signing tools.
- Form filling is also really helpful.
Cons
- I think the UI could use some updating. It would be great to have something a bit fresher.
- Sometimes getting the text to appear in the same size or font is a bit troublesome.
- It saves a lot of time! If we couldn't get into edit pdfs, we'd have to recreate everything - what a waste!
- Helps keep things secure and shareable - as well as accessible to all families - which is important to our organization.
- Helps me to keep multiple documents organized into a single lesson plan, which both saves time and cuts back on clutter.
- Scalability
- Ease of Use
Like I said, I just don't think there's a better alternative to pdf management than Adobe Acrobat. It really made sense for use to use this as an org, and all the teachers really appreciate the ability for us to more quickly and efficiently plan our lessons out from week to week and beyond.
It is certainly helpful to have a document format that is secure and unable to be edited. You'd be surprised how parents sometimes try to do or say, and having us know exactly what the received and when, that's great. It's not the most important aspect for us, but it's nice.
I think the other tools have had more of a priority on innovation than Adobe Acrobat. Look at what photoshop is doing with AI these days! But overall, it's still a solid tool by an established company, so I'm excited to see what updates trickle down to Adobe Acrobat eventually.
