In our organization, we use Adobe Acrobat to Save AI files. Export press quality to printer. Proofing.

Pros

  • preserves quality to printer
  • easy to send locked files to client to proof

Cons

  • I think there is room for improvement in Adobe Acrobat because, in my experience, there is a software out there where people can break locked file. Hope that can be fixed.
  • just that someone has found a way to unlock my proof files and use them against me.
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
