Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

I currently utilize Adobe Acrobat DC in managing PDF files - both scanned documents as well as electronically signing them. I really like the functionality of Acrobat DC in optimizing scanned documents converted to PDF files. It does a fantastic job compressing the files so they're not massive but also cleaning up the text and also OCR. Acrobat DC makes it very simple to copy/paste text from the PDF to other file formats and easily be able to email and/or share them online.
  • Optimize scanned documents for mobile/web
  • OCR Text Recognition
  • Compress PDF files
  • Convert from PDF to other Office document extensions (MS Word, MS Excel, etc)
  • Improve on scanned text optimization - it works really well and this has been drastically improved over the years however there's still room for improvement and better text recognition
  • Better Cross-Platform Support (Linux) - this would be absolutely excellent and this is my only big gripe with Adobe products in general across the board!
  • Optimizing scanned text
  • OCR Text Recognition
  • Electronically signing documents
  • Converting between PDF and other file formats
  • It has definitely reduced the amount of time it takes to complete tasks relating to anything having to do with using/managing/creating/signing PDF files
  • I love the ability to share/send PDF files online to any recipients and request them to sign various PDF forms/documents
It works great and does the job in an excellent way on the devices that are currently supported however it is not currently seamless across all devices as it should be and would be expected to be. I do appreciate and like the improvements in recent years that you can use Adobe Acrobat DC in the web browser as a web application. This does allow the user to use the software on other devices and operating systems are not natively supported however using the web version definitely has limited functionality and what I need to do isn't always available in the web app.
I do know that Adobe is a very secure application and those security standards have definitely improved over the years! I remember older PDF files that were password-protected used to be so easy to crack if you didn't have the original password or forgot it. In fact, I've had clients hire me to access past PDF files of theirs that were previously password-protected but they couldn't remember the password any longer and needed access to them. Fortunately and unfortunately, this is not so much the case anymore these days. Current and modern-day versions of Adobe Acrobat DC are much more secure which significantly raises the level of confidence for using it to secure confidential and sensitive PDF files however should you ever forget a password for a protected file, there are very few options (if any) available for regaining access to them - it is certainly a double-edged sword but this is why it's very important to back up everything including security protocols and passwords in a secure way.
I have a lot of experience with the majority of Adobe products and applications within the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, Dreamweaver, and numerous others! The entire cloud suite of applications is absolutely fantastic and I rely on these products and applications on a daily basis for business use and purposes! There are multiple facets of my business that would not be possible without Adobe's fantastic software and product offerings!

Adobe Acrobat DC is a great product and software application that has many great uses for daily business tasks and processes! It does a great job of optimizing texts/documents from scanned pages, compressing those pages/documents and optimizing for mobile/web purposes, and sharing online! It also does a great job of doing OCR text recognition and converting from PDF to other file formats (ie: MS Word, MS Excel, etc), and electronically signing documents of all types! You can also create/edit PDF files and various forms to both complete as well as design and create templates/forms for users to complete and fill out! Sure like anything else, there's always room for improvement (the biggest improvement I'd like to see is better cross-platform support like Linux - come on, it's 2022 already and there's no question if this can be done, it's just a matter of if they want to or not) however this is the industry standard from managing, creating, and editing PDF files and converting between other file formats! I enjoy Adobe Acrobat DC and use it on a regular basis!
