Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat

We use Adobe Acrobat DC to edit pdf files mainly. The editing consists of content editing, combining files, deleting pages etc. The software is used by about 15 people in our organization. We recently started to use Adobe for collecting signatures for contracts and official documents as well.
  • Edit PDF files
  • Combine PDF files
  • Reviewing PDF files
  • Collecting signatures
  • Optimizing PDF files
  • To be able to use it separately from the Adobe Cloud
  • The layout of the interface
  • Installation time
  • Installation process
  • Update process
  • To be able to edit (text) in PDF files
  • To be able to merge/combine PDF files
  • To be able to reduce the size of PDF files
  • To review a PDF file
  • Digitallt sign a document
  • Ease of Use
Adobe Acrobat DC offers functionality that is unavailable in Adobe Reader or other free apps. It offers a combination of functionalities that our organization needs for several business processes. PDF is a standard/default document type that is used a lot in our business area, we decided to purchase licenses for Adobe Acrobat DC because of the availability of the desired functionality and because Adobe is the creator of the PDF file format and therefore trustworthy.
  • Saves time to be able to edit PDFs directly, no need to adapt the original document
  • Increased efficiency for digitally signing documents
We haven't had any issues with data breaches or legal issues. The impact I would describe as positive then in general. The signage process works well and seems to safe to us. We also recognize that Adobe Acrobat and the PDF file format are used frequently by our business partners for official documents. This increases the trust we have in the product and improves collaboration.
Adobe Reader and Microsoft Edge (default Windows PDF file reader app) offer limited functionality compared to Adobe Standard DC. For colleagues that do not need extended the functionality of Adobe Standard DC Adobe Reader has been installed on their computers. Adobe Reader works and looks similar to Adobe Standard. Microsoft Edge has even less functionality and is not useful for us, it can only be used as a PDF file viewer as far as I know.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat again?

Yes

If a colleague needs PDF file functionality that is not supplied within the free Adobe Reader software, we acquire a license for that employee. It is suitable for office assistants, communications staff, legal staff and management mainly within our organization. For HR and Legal purposes we use the option to have documents digitally signed by a group of people as well.

Usability on a PC/laptop is good. I cannot really comment on other device formats, because I don't use it on other devices. I think if you compare the use on a PC or laptop, editing or merging multiple files works best when using a large screen or a multiscreen setup.
