Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat DC

This product addresses the business problems of having one central program with which to view, edit, sign, and collaborate on various types of documents. It is not a document editing and collaboration tool along the lines of Microsoft Word or Google Docs but is more suited for pre-created documents or forms. However, it is possible to word process directly in an Adobe Acrobat document. It is useful for document markups, redlining, and suggestions within a workflow. It is also helpful as a way to convert other file types into a simple pdf for sharing and/or exporting.
  • Provides a simple way to create pdf format documents from other file types or by combining multiple pdfs into one.
  • Is a good tool for reading through papers and other important documents, as it has highlighting and commenting capabilities.
  • Offers a simple way to e-sign documents.
  • The highlighter tool, while helpful, is a bit clunky and I wish it were more precise at grabbing onto specific characters within a text.
  • Loading times for the different functions (edit, view, etc) are longer than I would ideally prefer.
  • It would be great to have more ink color options for adding text to documents.
  • Full screen reading mode.
  • Ability to mark-up/redline documents.
  • Functionality on different types of devices.
  • Ability to optimize pdfs, reducing file size.

Adobe Acrobat DC is extremely usable and has been very helpful for our team across different device formats. A benefit of being able to edit pdfs on something like an iPad or tablet is the ability to draw or write on documents with a digital stylus or pen and then send said documents back over to the original sender for their thoughts.
My organization has not had any security or compliance issues that I am aware of through using Adobe Acrobat DC or other products in the Adobe Creative Suite. I have not ever worried about the safety or privacy of company documents being compromised while using this or any other Adobe product.

Based on my experience, Adobe Acrobat DC is well suited for reading long proposals or important texts (tip: if your document comes in at the wrong orientation. This program offers a feature that will allow you to flip the entire document clockwise or counterclockwise until things look correct), filling out forms, and e-signing documents. It is less appropriate for drafting or word processing longer documents and would not be my first choice of collaboration tool.
