Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is being used across our organization to share and manage PDFs both internally and externally. It is useful because it allows for consistent formatting of documents whether they are being used by our employees or people in our client organizations. You can create a document in another application like Microsoft Word or InDesign, but when you save it as a PDF you can be assured that anyone who opens in with [Adobe] Acrobat Reader DC will see the format you intended.
  • The fill & sign feature is great because it allows for digital signing of documents without having to print, sign, scan, and then fax or email.
  • Acrobat Reader DC allows you to take an existing document and organize the pages differently, or add or remove pages for your purposes.
  • You can easily turn Microsoft Office documents into PDFs in order to share them widely.
  • Sometimes if you convert a PDF into another format, like Word, the document formatting will not be preserved as expected, especially when it comes to fonts.
  • Copying text from a PDF and pasting it into another document can be unreliable. Sometimes punctuation, letters, or entire words are missing from the text when you paste it elsewhere.
  • The comments feature is not as easy to use as the similar feature in Word. In Word the comments are easier to see and to add.
  • Consistent formatting across documents that are shared internally and externally
  • Ease of converting formats like Word and InDesign to PDF, and vice versa
  • Ability to fill and sign documents digitally
  • It has allowed for easy sharing of documents both internally and externally
  • It has contributed to higher efficiency by allowing conversions to and from other file formats
  • It helps avoid client-facing formatting errors in documents

Do you think Adobe Acrobat Reader delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Acrobat Reader's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Acrobat Reader live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Acrobat Reader go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat Reader again?

Yes

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is honestly so universally useful that I am having trouble coming up with scenarios where it wouldn't be suitable. I guess if your organization uses legacy software due to technological restraints, it might not "play nice" when converting to or from a PDF using Acrobat Reader. But for most modern companies, it should be in your arsenal of applications.
