Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is still loaded on all of our workstations here at the office; however, I feel it is going by the wayside. There are many other programs that offer many more tools, options, features, and value compared to that of Adobe Acrobat DC. If you are looking for a program to simply view a PDF and do nothing more, then yes, this program will do just fine. However, with the way the work world and technology have evolved, I feel that Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has fallen behind.
  • User friendly
  • Ease
  • Basic
  • Free (typically)
  • Minimal features
  • Too basic for advanced users
  • Comes with bloatware
  • Access for everyone
  • No cost associated
It is very hard to compare Adobe Acrobat Reader DC with Bluebeam or Foxit Phantom. The functionality that those two allow compared to that of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC are night and day. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is simply that--a reader. It allows you to view files and that's it. Other programs allow for editing, viewing, creating, and many more features compared to that of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. It's almost like comparing apples to oranges.

Do you think Adobe Acrobat Reader delivers good value for the price?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Adobe Acrobat Reader again?

If you are a very new user and not very familiar with using, reading, or editing a PDF file, then this would be great for you. This would be great for students new to using computers, viewing files or learning to create a PDF. However, if you are an advanced user, then Adobe Acrobat Reader DC will most likely not be for you. It has low functionality compared to other programs such as Bluebeam.
