Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
Adobe Acrobat Reader has been a great asset for merging PDFs as well as modifying existing documents and filling out pre-existing forms. Apple preview does the job for quickly viewing or reading a document, but when it comes to modifying, creating, or formatting a document, Adobe Acrobat Reader is beyond helpful.
- Document modification
- document protection
- flexibility
- reading existing documents to reformat can be clunky
- some issues with text scanning misinterpreting some characters
- Some UI can be a bit confusing at times.
- Document merging
- Document modification
- Filling out forms
- Part of the Adobe suite - ease of use
- Less time spent with other, cumbersome software
- Ability to create user-friendly forms
I haven't spent any real time looking into alternatives because there is no need. I've used Apple Preview for basic view, which works fine. But when it comes to doing any sort of creation or modification, this is a must. Working in photoshop works... sorta. For visual things at least.
