Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Captivate

I create eLearning for corporate and operating company employees.
  • It allows me to create my own ideas without using templates.
  • It works well with other Creative Cloud software so that I can create beautiful slides.
  • It does what you tell it to do. If it doesn't behave the way you expect, it's almost always a user error. Once you learn how to use it, you have lots of control.
  • It's a steep learning curve for new users.
  • Learning curve is so steep, those who aren't tech savvy won't even try to learn.
  • It doesn't upload PowerPoint well (not that I'd do that, but some would like to).
  • Easy to upload into SCORM
  • Easy to improve upon PowerPoints as training
  • Powerful
  • We bought licenses for a lot of folks who refused to learn it due to its difficulty...negative financial consequence.
  • I was able to show the department how training should look...positive.
Studio was so awful, we had to go to something else. Captivate was a great replacement.

You need to be tech savvy to understand how to use Captivate.
  • Affordable
  • Beautiful results
  • Can give the customer what nearly any capability they are asking for
  • Make learner repeat course instead of retaking test
  • Send learner to certain slide for review before repeating question.
  • If more people would use it, we could create better training as a department
I love Captivate. I find it reliable and predictable. Also, there is plenty of help online if I get stuck.
