Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Captivate

I use Captivate to create eLearning courses. The purpose of the courses is to train external customers on our product workflows.
  • screen simulations
  • ability to create multi-state objects
  • ability to create user-friendly interactions
  • Mostly it needs glitch/bug improvements - things disappear or just don't show up, such as state view for objects being used as buttons, etc.
  • It would be nice if you could expand the timeline to make the slides in it slightly larger, or at least provide 2 columns of slides.
  • Screen simulations.
  • Advanced actions.
  • User interactions.
  • Overall all, it helps us create training in a digestible and engaging manner.
There is a lot more editing/customization capability in Captivate. Zoom is incredibly limited with what you can do within the software.

Do you think Adobe Captivate delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Adobe Captivate's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Captivate live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Adobe Captivate go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Captivate again?

Yes

Captivate works particularly well for our workflow simulations & user instructions.

We create "what's new" courses for each product release (usually monthly), but Captivate is too "clicky" for what we are trying to accomplish and have switched to Camtasia for that.
