Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Express

In my organization I mostly use Adobe Express to create flyers, and social media posts for events that are on a tight deadline. The templates help me quickly implement my ideas for a design.

Pros

  • Templates
  • Easy to Use
  • Basic Layout and Design
  • Scalability across mediums
  • Converting Documents into Adobe Express
  • Quick and Easy Animation

Cons

  • I would like if the tool use was more similar to other Adobe Apps instead of apps like Canva
  • When you insert icons it is very difficult to use the ones in multiples.
  • It can be difficult to change the colors of icons. I usually have to go into tones to do so, and it isn't easy to access or obvious.
  • It provides super easy to use templates and has cut down on the time I use searching for backgrounds or piecing things together. Super useful for internal flyers where we can get a little more fun and creative.
  • Recently I used Express to animate some graphics I made for a carousel post. I started in Illustrator, then brought it to Express to use the icons and animation features. Express analyzed my Illustrator document well and converted it to be compatible with Express. Making moving objects around easy and animatable.
They have been good quality, but I would say that Canva has a greater library of assets particularly when it comes to Icons and images. I prefer Adobe's templates, but some of the UI could use some improvement. I think if more of the basic features were similar to the properties panel in Adobe Apps, it would flow a lot better for the user.
It is pretty easy to use, but as I stated previously, some of the UI could use some work. I would really like if many of the basic features like color and text were laid out in a way similar to the properties panel in Adobe Apps. I also don't like having to search for ways to recolor icons under tones. There should be a color change option for them.
I appreciate being able to scale things quickly. I do often have to readjust after, but it is minimal.
I hate Canva personally. The files I receive from people annoy me to death. At least if they were in an adobe product I could do more with them.

Do you think Adobe Express delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Adobe Express's feature set?

Yes

Did Adobe Express live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Adobe Express go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Adobe Express again?

Yes

I went for an 8, keeping in mind the price for Adobe and the amount of knowledge they would need to use it. In my organization we currently have Canva for Education and use that for our teachers because they are already familiar with it. It would make my life easier if we used Adobe Express, but they would need reeducated.

Using Adobe Express

2 - We are both in the Marketing department, I use it for Graphic Design tasks, and she uses it on occasion for making quick social media posts.
2 - We are educated in art & design so it doesn't take much for us to support the software. Our tech director handles our Adobe License if that counts as well.
  • Quick Social Media Post Templates
  • Flyer Templates for internal events
  • Animation
  • Ready to use Icons
  • To animate graphics
  • I am not sure! As far as I know we are using it in its full capacity already.
It is a very useful product that definitely helps when we need to save time and move projects quickly.

Evaluating Adobe Express and Competitors

  • Integration with Other Systems
As a graphics designer I use Adobe Apps frequently, and being able to bounce between illustrator and express easily is something I appreciate.
I am not a part of the selection process. Our organization carries both Canva and Adobe. Canva is mostly used for teachers, because they are familiar with it and it is easy for them to use. Adobe is used by a smaller team of professionals that need to go between different apps.

Adobe Express Implementation

Adobe Express Support

I don't have a complete perspective of the support completed, but from my viewpoint it seemed pretty thorough and helpful. Our IT department usually handles most of it, but I was in the loop for a specific portion when we were going over the plans available for our team.
ProsCons
Quick Resolution
Good followup
Knowledgeable team
Problems get solved
No escalation required
Support understands my problem
Support cares about my success
Quick Initial Response
None
I don't believe so. We only have a team of 3 using the Adobe Suite.
I can not, as I am not usually included in these scenarios.

Using Adobe Express

It is very usable, it is not like it is a broken product. However, there are some UI functions that could use some improvement. It offers great cross platform functionality and is relatively easy to use.
ProsCons
Like to use
Relatively simple
Easy to use
Technical support not required
Convenient
Feel confident using
Familiar
Inconsistent
  • Editing Templates
  • Adding animations
  • adding images
  • Editing and using icon graphics
  • Resizing graphics. I just tried to resize an instagram graphic to the 9:16 size and every variation was resized poorly.
  • Adding images into shapes.
