Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Express

My entire school district has access to K-12 Adobe Express for all of our students and teachers. Our teachers can use it to start quick projects and fliers, and assign templates to students.

Pros

Cons

  • I wish I could easily draw within a regular Express document.
  • There are so many features that Canva has that Express just doesn't have. For example, multi-track audio layers.
  • I spend a lot of time searching through Express projects/libraries/files looking for where I saved stuff. It feels like there are too many places to save things, which actually makes it more disorganized. It should be more easily consolidated.
Stock photos are great, but the templates can be tricky to get into. If I want to change something, it requires a lot of ungrouping to get into the assets that I want to change. The K12 templates are too school focused, which was probably intentional but is also so limiting.
Tricky to customize templates
It is easy to save it in different sizes, but the content isn't reliably stretched to the various sizes correctly and still requires a lot of annual adjustments.

Well suited or quick design projects that don't require a lot of customization. Not as appropriate for detailed projects that need a lot of work.
