Creating and Collaborating with Adobe Express
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Express
I use Adobe Express to create social media graphics, digital badges and web content for my higher education institution. We need an easy-to-use application that offers a range of tools/features for both our seasoned and novice designers to use. To stay within university guidelines, that tool must provide simple branded templates and access to approved fonts.
Pros
- Brand Kit: provides quick access to approved fonts, logos, colors, and other assets
- Libraries: syncs will with other Adobe Tools
- Animation: provides a decent collection of modifiable motions for objects in the design
- Social Media-ready Layouts: being able to design graphics of multiple sizes/Layouts within the same document is a GOD-SEND
Cons
- Make accessibility an essential part of every tool/feature in Adobe Express! If it has an accessibility component, require the designer to include information (alt text, captions, etc.); provide reminders on features that should include accessibility components.
- Font modification features aren't as intuitive as they should be.
- Users should have the option to TURN OFF AI Features if they don't deem them necessary!
- We are able to create most of what we need; however, I wish that more of my colleagues took advantage of the tools (our campus has sitewide licensing).
I use Adobe Express and Canva equally, due to the types of features that are/aren't available (need for overlap), and due to the team licensing features/access.
