Adobe Firefly - Great for Creatives
Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Firefly
I am a graphic designer and I use Adobe Firefly to modify photographs to change backgrounds, clothing and other elements. I also use it to create unique elements such as unusual backgrounds, add effects to text and more. I really like how I can enter a prompt and watch Adobe Firefly do its work!
Pros
- Recreates clothing to make it what I want
- Generates new backgrounds or background elements based on the prompt given
- Uses generative fill to change images entirely
- Regenerates a different image if I change the prompt
Cons
- I would like to keep the same image and be able to just refine it by changing the prompt
- Text is distorted like in most generative AI models
- Be able to extract text or other elements from an image and keep the original image with layers
- I would say that using Adobe Firefly has increased my productivity by at least 40% because it helps me "think" about the elements I want to use in a creation.
- When I use Adobe Firefly, it has saved me about 2 to 3 hours in content creation.
- I create 2D and 3D animated short videos and if I can create a stationary character, say like a person standing on the sidewalk, and not have to draw it or try to create it in 3D software, I don't have to draw these characters.
Adobe Firefly makes it simple and easy to use. The colors produced are rich and vibrant and the elements created are unique, unusual at times and they look great in my designs! I like looking at the library of images already created because this gives me so many ideas for my own creations.
