Overall Satisfaction with Adobe InDesign
I use InDesign for a variety of publication designs for clients. As a graphic designer I'm asked for things like business cards, flyers, brochures, documents, letterheads and even books. InDesign makes designing and editing these documents very easy. With features like character and paragraph styles I can make quick edits to entire documents that affect every part without having to make dozens of small edits.
Pros
- Design
- Publication
- Automation
Cons
- Price
- Integration with other apps
- Text frame options
- Speed - I can complete projects quickly
- Efficiency - I can make projects easier for myself to edit in future
- Quality - the exported files are excellent quality when printed
InDesign's real benefit is it's integration with the other Adobe products, allowing you to work fairly seamlessly with multiple types of design file on a project. The creative cloud allows you to store and use assets quickly and efficiently on multiple projects and really speeds up my workflow as I dont have to take time to find a logo or colour for a new design for a client I work with frequently.
