ADP Smart and Secure Software
Overall Satisfaction with ADP SmartCompliance
We use ADP SmartCompliance for tax filing services. Once our small university started adding employees in other states, the multi-state filing requirements were more than one payroll employee could handle. ADP SmartCompliance takes care of monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reporting and filing as well as the processing and delivery of our W2 forms to all employees.
Pros
- The website is easy to use and very well organized.
- Customer service and support have been great with a dedicated specialist assigned to our university.
Cons
- I would like to see additional help beyond website links to set up registration and tax withholding in other states. This would greatly help reduce my time on that task.
- Quicker turn around on some report generation.

Would you buy ADP SmartCompliance again?
Yes
- ADP SmartCompliance has definitely reduced my workload and saved me time since they handle all of our payday tax filings.
- ADP SmartCompliance has also helped save me research time by providing links for multi-state withholding tax setup.
Jenzabar
We did have to work with a third party vendor in order to get our reports from our payroll software (Jenzabar) into the correct formatting for the ADP uploads of data.
I particularly enjoy being part of the ADP Ambassador's group as I am able to get updates through Spark news articles and read discussion board chats among similar peers at other institutions.
ADP SmartCompliance Feature Ratings
Using ADP SmartCompliance
3 - Since we are only using the reporting functions and not running out entire payroll through ADP, we have a small group currently using the Smart Compliance website. Those people include the Controller, Payroll & Benefits, Payroll Manager. The Controller is mainly just using it to review information and run reports, while the Payroll team are more frequent users who perform uploads of data for processing on paydays.
