Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use ADP SmartCompliance for employment tax filings. It is wonderful that ADP works with Oracle Fusion to integrate their tax solutions and create opportunities for our business to better sync and manage our payroll taxes. I think this led our organization to using ADP SmartCompliance as a solution to processing payroll taxes.

Pros and Cons

Reporting is very plentiful and helpful when tax agencies have notices or alerts.
The environment is very user friendly and good at notifying you of outstanding tasks that need to be completed.
Setting up tax jurisdictions is simple and quick. Really appreciate that aspect.

I see some room for improvement on the ability of SmartCompliance to link to the year end site and processes.
I'd like to see more feedback while the tax research team is investigating outstanding agency notices within the notes section of the site.

Oracle and ADP work together to code tax localities making filing and reporting very smooth.

Compliance Solutions

I appreciate that as each new payroll file is fed to ADP i get notified if a new jurisdiction needs set up. Our old system required that we manually set up each new jurisdiction as there was no notification when we sent it to our prior tax processor. ADP also feeds new data back form the agencies which allows me to edit and update our system if my rates are out of date.

Likelihood to Recommend

There has been much end user improvement on this site over the 3 years that I have been using it. I really appreciate the focus and attention ADP has place on making this a user friendly site so that their customers can better navigate their payroll tax issues. I look forward to the additional features that will be added in another three years time. I really am able to be quite efficient within my role because of the ease of use of this site.
