Overall Satisfaction with ADP SmartCompliance
We use ADP SmartCompliance in many ways. We currently use it for Employment Tax, Payment Solutions, Wisely, W2's, and Wage Garnishments. It keeps our business in compliance with Federal/State/Local tax deadlines. It also helps us stay in compliance with all things garnishments, every state has different rules and regulations when it comes to garnishments and having it all in ADP SmartCompliance is so helpful. The Payment solutions helps us get everyone paid quickly and efficiently. Our organization was looking for an all in one solution that would help our team stay small but in compliance with over 30k employees through the US.
Pros
- Unemployment Tax Notices - It's easy to upload the notices in ADP SmartComplianceand ADP investigate the issues and responds to agencies. Rarely do they have me reach out directly. They make notes in ADP SmartCompliance to keep us updated too.
- New Garnishment Processing - You can bulk upload garnishments received into ADP SmartCompliance which makes it more efficient for setup and responses.
- Payment Solutions - Whenever we receive a call from an employee that they lost their check or that it was sent to the wrong account, ADP SmartCompliance makes it easy to stop the payments.
Cons
- Local Tax Help - Mainly PA employees. I wish there was an easier way to see that we have the employees setup correctly.
- Tickets not in emails - What I mean is that they have a ticket system so that you can talk to your account manager, but there is no easy way to then pull up those tickets like you would if it were in emails. Sometimes we want to see how we handled something before and it gets tricky.
- Reduced manual workload for payroll taxes, garnishments and wage payments.
- Reduced compliance risk, especially in garnishments.
- Easy Wisely paycard system within ADP SmartCompliance makes it efficient to bulk load and bulk register when needed. Saving us time.
- There are at times some IT glitches with Wisely files that transmit automatically from our PeopleSoft system to ADP and back.
PeopleSoft
We confirm out payroll in PeopleSoft and it automatically sends it to ADP SmartCompliance. Which includes all payments to be distributed by direct deposit and mail. It also includes tax data and garnishment data within those checks which then we receive invoices for. We can run reports in ADP SmartCompliance to help us balance out with our PeopleSoft reports. Our system also sends files daily for Wisely paycards and garnishments so that both systems are matching with new enrollments of paycards and new hires and terms for garnishments.
We love our account managers! They are definitely there for us when we need them for anything. We know that we can rely on all our contacts there to help and guide us to the right answer or solution.
I find it very beneficial to have all my access with one login. I would find it so time consuming to have to login to multiple website to access payment, tax, garnishment, paycard information. Sometimes we are investigating something that requires us to go back and forth and it's very nice to have it all in one place.
