Overall Satisfaction with ADP SmartCompliance
ADP SmartCompliance is the dashboard I use mainly to find our bi-weekly payroll processing invoices, setup tax jurisdictions, submit tax notices, monitor our pay card program (Wisely) and void ADP issued checks. It's nice to have everything all in one place. Previously we would have to navigate to several different areas. ADP SmartCompliance keeps it all in under one login. As a client who utilizes ADP tax filing services it's nice to have everything all in one place, especially when we operate in several different states.
Pros
- Allows you to submit for tax jurisdiction setup
- Has a dashboard to indicate if any tax filings for the quarter are at risk and what the problem might be
- Has a great layout of all your payroll processing invoices
- Allows you to download copies of the tax filings ADP does on your behalf
- Allows you to submit tax notices directly within the site
Cons
- The reporting section could use some improvement as it's clunky and not easy to navigate
- We have a garnishment section listed but we are not full service so that causes confusion. You should make sure to display only the services a client is registered to
- I don't love that you have to go to a different section for amendments. When I want to review a state/jurisdiction I want to see history all in one place
- ADP SmartCompliance has drastically improved the time it takes to setup new jurisdictions
- ADP SmartCompliance has reduced the amount of time I need to spend tracking down documentation for our tax filings
- I know that when I have a tax issue, I can send to ADP SmartCompliance and have a representative reach out saving me time
ADP Vantage & ADP Lyric
I can't say that the integration adds much value as I don't see how it integrates. What I do notice is that simply having it all in one location is ideal.
This is an area I really appreciate. If I know I am going to be setting up a new jurisdiction I have a team of trusted individuals that will help me navigate the complexities. For example when I had to setup CO, I didn't know I needed to have a certain POA form on file. I was able to easily find that form through ADP SmartCompliance.
This is where ADP SmartCompliance shines. Everything is very clearly laid out for you to navigate. I would say the only area of improvement is that amendments or tax filings should be together so you can find all information regarding to each jurisdiction.
