Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Algolia to display listing of our products on our e-commerce websites. We are using Algolia for Merchandising and we are also using Algolia Recommend.
Algolia is currently in place on ~10 of our websites.

Usability

Personally I find the Algolia integration not very complicated and the service super reactive. In terms of configuration, it's quite complete, at the end what matters is what we are able to index on Algolia. With rich data, the tool is amazing and a lot of things are possible.

Algolia is equipped with multiple AI-powered search capabilities to help optimize conversions, relevance, and revenue. How have Algolia’s AI search features impacted internal and customer-facing user experience?

Difficult to say from my point of view. We did an A/B test for Dynamic re-ranking end of last year which was not great but I believe that the main issue was that our e-commerce managers were still pinning manually a lot of items. Another test should be ran soon and I believe and hope that the results will be better.
For the recommendations, I've the feeling that they are quite relevant.

Algolia is designed with flexible and friendly integration capabilities to help build scalable search experiences. How has your experience been integrating Algolia into your existing tech stack? How has Algolia impacted the day-to-day workflows of both your business users and developers?

Already mentioned earlier, I actively participated to the integration and on the Frontend side it was very ok, nothing complicated and worked as expected. We had more issues with the integration to Magento 2 and we are still having some issues.
What I can add is that the only "pains" we had on Frontend side were about configuration for recommendation and properly implement Algolia analytics.

On developer side now that the work is done we are quite happy about it.
On the business side for what I know the teams struggled a bit to understand how to do their merchandising and I believe that they are still not using 100% as they could but step after step it's going better

Alternatives Considered

Algolia is just the best plug and play search/merchandising tool. Doesn't requires too much knowledge to start getting benefit from it.

Likelihood to Recommend

I pushed a lot in my company to use Algolia, we were previously using various services for search and e-merch (Findify, HelloRetail, native Magento 2, ...).
For me for an e-commerce platform this service is amazing. In the past I also used Algolia and I remember one case I replaced it with a different tool (it was a mix between Elastic Search and Neo4j) and the goal was to provide a way for companies to find the best candidates for their job positions.
