Tackles the financial document overload

We use AlphaSense as a search engine in our equity research. By being able to specify the company in question, the sources (public and private) which the search engine should utilize, and selected keywords for the search, AlphaSense is able to compile a highly relevant list of documents. The UI also facilitates quick browsing through the relevant documents. The tool saves us time on searching for documents, and thanks to the transparent input criteria, we gain confidence regarding what information is or is not available.

AlphaSense aids us in some form in all steps of our investment research process. A concrete example is the ability to search a large but strictly defined set of documents with keywords. Furthermore, AlphaSense automatically adds relevant synonyms to the search result. With the quick and user friendly interface, this combination allows us to quickly identify and sift through the competitive landscape of products offered by the target company and its competitors. This naturally increases our understanding of the competitive environment and may increase our confidence in an investment candidate or prevent us from erroneously investing in candidate with a weaker than previously thought competitive position.
