Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense
Use it to understand companies and pull research. Helpful when pulling together materials in preparation for meetings with management or board of directors.
Pros
- Industry reports
- Initiating coverage reports
- Aggregating research from multiple sources
Cons
- Loading reports takes a while
- Feels slow relative to Thomson One
- Constant buffering when scrolling to next page of report in browser
- Quicker to understand industry landscape
- Useful for following up on promising companies found in screens
Helpful for competitive landscape given multiple sources, I think business outcomes is still a very much internal process that is somewhat informed by info gleaned on AlphaSense.
AlphaSense is good for initial research, but Thomson One is much easier to use for specific queries (e.g. update reports on a specific company)
