Overall Satisfaction with AlphaSense

Periodic intense searches of all available articles in order
to profile markets, competitors, and segments. This information is winnowed
down, selected, and integrated into a Wall Street-style analysts’ report.

Pros

  • A robust collection of public domain articles, all in one place.
  • It is a clever tool, esp. multiple types of users.
  • Color coding.
  • Uptime
  • Some download/extraction capability.
  • Ongoing alerts.

Cons

  • Quality of support.
  • Increasingly expensive, per-seat pricing.
  • The download is limited, it could be so much better.
  • Not interested in customer feedback ideas for improvement.
  • Better informed executives/decision makers as I’m able to offer a more robust picture of what’s going on in the market.
  • But it's expensive, so might not be for everyone/occasional users. Could break the budget or reduce the ROI if not careful with the pricing/# seats.
Better than most, and a ways to go still. Could improve setting up alerts and notifications/distributions. Could improve highlighting and downloading. Wants 'work' to be done w/in its (cloud) platform. That's not going to happen. Need to be able to bring selected content down into my employer's secure environment so I can integrate it with internal info.
More data pieces and faster, too. Contributing to data overload and increased importance of integration and filtering.

Do you think AlphaSense delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with AlphaSense's feature set?

Yes

Did AlphaSense live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of AlphaSense go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy AlphaSense again?

Yes

Great if you’ve got funding, time to be in front of the
screen and figure it out/implement, and have a core user who supports others.

Careful ($$) if you end up buying a lot of seats for users
who will only use them occasionally.
