Overall Satisfaction with Amazon DynamoDB

From storing huge amounts of data generated by our applications to caching our data in order to increase the performance of our applications, Amazon DynamoDB helps in a vast area of our daily operations. Since it is a fully managed database service, it saves a lot of hard work on our part.
  • Self-management makes it really easy to operate with.
  • High-performance even at the time of traffic spikes.
  • Reliable as it has low latency tendencies.
  • Pricing using an on-demand plan can be tuned a little better for low cost.
  • Managing an on-demand plan can be a little punishing.
  • Limited size and data types are not the best to work with.
  • Self-management saves a lot of work and time.
  • Using on-demand pricing can work wonders in some of the cases.
  • Frequent server side updates will be appreciated.
Amazon DynamoDB works the best in terms of its scalability. In my opinion, the higher the scalability is, the more sense it makes to use Amazon DynamoDB as your database. It works phenomenally well and performs in high speed at big scales. And the flexibility provided in scaling your operations certainly help in overcoming the task.
All of the amazon web services perform amazingly well in all regions due to its huge service network I suppose. Hence there should not be any reason to Amazon DynamoDB under performing in selective regions. In my experience, as far as scalability is concerned, it exceeds the expectations by far and performs highly in every scenario thrown at it.
Performance at high scales is better and the cost at high scales is less. If one has a ton of data generated and has to work their way through it, I think Amazon DynamoDB should the go-to database. There are no compromises when it comes to performance at a huge scale. With any number of queries per second, the Amazon DynamoDB will hold up it's own.
