Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan
We use Anaplan internally to manage our company finances and for resource management across projects. We allocate employees to projects, assess project health and budgets, and manage project timelines. We also focus primarily on implementing Anaplan at customers. In primary use cases, we see our Financial Planning and Analysis implementations, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Management, Financial Forecasting, and Sales Operations.
Pros
- Processes large amounts of data quickly
- Brings all users into a singular cloud based platform
- Streamlines processes across the organization
Cons
- The time to scale can be lengthy depending on the organization
- Management of a model takes effort over time and resources need to be allocated accordingly.
- Change management protocols can be challenging given users current workstream
- Multi-Dimensionality
- Robust User Security/Access
- Hyperblock data processing
- Allowed users to focus more on decision making rather than report generation
- Enabled visibility into KPIs to shift business goals
- Brings versioning of budgets into one area
- Planful (formerly Host Analytics) and Jedox
We selected Anaplan for its intuitive design and our desire to get away from excel. It also enabled us a sandbox of usability to tailor the experience directly to our needs. Other systems compartmentalized areas into one format and did not allow us as much customization.
