Overall Satisfaction with Apollo.io

I use Apollo to help source lists of contacts and research companies for our freelancing AI and outreach agency, and sometimes, I help clients. Many times, the hardest thing to find is the correct business owner or contact via job title, and having Apollo gives us a great head start. It's beneficial to have a person's name.

Pros

  • Find contacts by name.
  • Find contacts by job title.
  • See key insights on a company like employee size.
  • Having direct access to search by person or company is good as well.

Cons

  • Search feature is clunky.
  • Sometimes when adding locations, I have to type and retype multiple times for it to appear.
  • I wish searching was easier.
  • Apollo helped save time in getting a list but ROI is dependent or more than a list.
  • When used properly and the list is targeted with a good offer the ROI can be great.
  • ROI should be easy to get compared to the cost of the service. Many times, if you make at least one sale, you've gotten your initial investment back.
The UI is clunky, and the way to search by keywords for a person or job title is exhaustive. Also, when searching or adding cities, it often won't finish auto-populating right away, and I have to delete and retype multiple times for it to find the correct cities. It can get very frustrating at times.
I haven't tried many other platforms, so I don't have much to compare to. Other times, I used scrapers. But it is much easier in some cases to use Apollo, especially to find job titles and company info like employee size. The other downfall is that I don't know how often the leads are updated.

It's helpful when looking for people with a specific job title and verified email addresses. However, the way the UI is set up can be a little bit overwhelming at times. Sometimes, I'm glad to have Apollo, but when I think about all the things I have to input to do a search, I get a little less excited.
