[It's a] Comprehensive enterprise-wide business process management system that standardizes internal controls and automates processes from the initial request to the purchase of the items and then provides reporting functionality to track the process, and helps to manage managerial tasks with day to day demands with quick and easy access.
In our organization Appian is used across the whole organization and it is solving a lot of problems for our organization by automating a lot of daily tasks and providing [ease] across the organization. It is also helping our organization in keeping track of the assigned tasks and making the process easy across the organization.

It is less appropriate for process-oriented systems. It is difficult to build it around an existing system, on the other hand, it is very effective when a system is built around appain and requirements are defined keeping the appian process flow in mind. It is suited for tracking of a system rather than the management of the process.
