Okay in a Pinch, but not ideal
Overall Satisfaction with Apple Numbers
I've tried to use it as an alternative to Excel when I did not have Excel installed on a certain computer. It was hard to adjust to, and was not as intuitive (perhaps because I am used to Excel). It got the job done, but it was difficult to perform some operations due to my unfamiliarity with it.
Pros
- Functions
- UI
- Pivoting
Cons
- Intuitive Formulas
- Features
- Cell Management
- Allows baseline management in a crunch
- At least able to open and view datasets
- Is not intuitive enough for efficiency needed in projects
I think Apple Numbers is inferior to both Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Google Sheets is more readily available for everyone and does not have the requirement that someone be on a MacOS system. Microsoft Excel, being the industry standard for spreadsheet management, has the benefit of copious amounts of documentation and support for its product, which Apple Numbers is lacking.
