Overall Satisfaction with Apple Numbers

My organization uses Apple Numbers for reporting, tracking and staying organized in day to day operations. I manage all content for the rev org, and I export reports to Apple Numbers to get informed on how that content is doing and what needs to be actioned. By creating filters I am early able to organize crucial information in a matter of seconds and follow up with each individual in a timely manor to make sure our content is in the best state possible.

Pros

  • Filtering lots of information
  • Mathematic equations
  • Minimalistic look and feel that is easy to understand

Cons

  • Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles as excel.
  • Sometimes you have to save it in a different format for others to view
  • Could include more options on the menu bar rather than clicking on some of the drop downs.
  • Improved tracking of kpis
  • Saved time reporting
  • Helped the team and sub teams stay organized and work efficiently
Overall most things on Numbers are intuitive and easy to use. However there are some things that can seem like they are in the wrong place if you are use to or coming from excel. After a bit of a learning curve everything makes sense. If I had no excel experience I would rate Numbers higher.
I would say excel is top tier, but you are going to pay a premium price for it. A small step down is a price savings and two tools that are really similar: Google Sheets and Apple Numbers. If I had to pick one I would pick sheets as it is easier to collaborate with. For users who are always in spreadsheet excl is the clear winner due to the features and usability. Next I would rank sheets for the collaboration. And still great but last compared to the other two is Numbers.

Do you think Apple Numbers delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Apple Numbers's feature set?

Yes

Did Apple Numbers live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Apple Numbers go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Apple Numbers again?

Yes

Apple Numbers is great for organizations who don’t live out of spread sheets. It is a cheaper option than the main competitor Microsoft Excel. So if you don’t want to shell out the extra money and take a little step back on features, Numbers is a great place to be for those companies.
