Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

We use Storyline 360 to build courseware for our clients on a daily basis for the heftier material and create supplemental material using Rise 360 for more bite sized pieces of information and to summarize. Both Storyline and Rise are useful in this case because it helps relay information to large amounts of people in a standardized format without sacrificing quality or creativity. Our clients are all different but they are usually looking for courseware that onboards employees, goes through safety measures, or teaches full courses on certain topics.

Pros

  • Integration between applications (e.g. ability to implement Storyline content as a block in Rise)
  • Review 360 is extremely useful in sending to clients, getting feedback, and general QA
  • Customization options in Storyline are really good, with theme colours, icons, images, etc that you are able to add to any screen in particular

Cons

  • More functionality and customization in Rise would be beneficial
  • Dark mode in Storyline, it's severely missing that functionality that, in recent years, has become very prominent across most other applications
  • Storyline has an issue where the Notes section of the application will jump up to the top no matter where you click. I would like to see an update where that gets fixed
  • Reduced training costs and time
We use Storyline the most since we create full-bodied courseware, and then we use Review to QA the courses. Rise has found a bit more usage over time as we've had clients ask for summarized material to supplement the training content they want.
It's useful for the type of learning content we make, and while we do have a lot of freedom and usability, it is still very limited.

Do you think Articulate 360 delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

I think Articulate 360 as a whole is well suited for a lot of web-based learning. Where it fails is the price point, so if we are looking for one or two applications to use short-term, the price would not be worth it.
