  • So Articulate does very well with usability, so it's a very easy product to use. I've had to onboard an employee who was able to learn the program within a month, I think was amazing, and they were able to create the first course within five months of working at the company. So if that's not a testament to how easy it is to use, I don't know what is.
Cons
  • So as with any program, computer program, there's bugs to the program. So there's always room for improvement for getting out the glitches and the bugs in the program. But I love that Articulate has an online forum where you can discuss those bugs and usually there's always somebody who contacts you and says that their team is working on it. So they do a really good job of improving where they can.

  • Rise is just easy for us to manipulate, slide by slide. We do voiceover and try to get our accessibility to a relative good point. I would say it helps me manage high volume of content and a high volume of content changes easily.
  • It's also really just easy to learn and easy to use through the community. So just staying on top of the new releases and stuff.
Cons
  • The most hiccups that I've recently experienced are honestly involved with AI and just my trying to learn AI and figure out how we can maximize that for our business case. The AI voiceover is what I'm specifically curious about and trying to learn more. So in regards to the AI, there's still some shuffling needs to be done. SSML that needs to be added for it to read correctly. There is a very large amount of voices and dialects, which I think is beneficial. It was also a little overwhelming in trying to play around with it and find that right part. So just continuing to look through the community and find the guidance that I need to essentially make the audio, make the voiceover work better and read the words correctly. For example, one of my most popular courses that I sell is Record Your Time and it kept reading, it records your time, and I could not figure out how to make those words. We've submitted a ticket, you guys have been very helpful, but we can't really figure out how to make those little nuances work with the complex English language.

  • The ease of putting together certain assets and putting it in a way where it is clear and because of all the products and everything, I guess the features that you have, we can put it in a way so that it's easier for people to comprehend what we're trying to do. It's got so many features with the Rise course to where we can really gauge their understanding of certain processes and then I can easily take my Storyline, throw that into Rise, and I have a beautiful course put together so that I can deliver it. Whether they're new to our company, they've been with our company for years, whatever the case is, we can pretty much make sure we have a uniform message and it's easy to package it with Articulate 360.
Cons
  • Well, I'm hoping to find a little bit more regarding the AI-driven sound effects. I haven't really seen much there and that's one of the areas we struggle with. So that's kind of where, I haven't tested it yet, but I want to see how that works out and if we can really use that.

  • A lot of things, so most recently I've utilized the AI tools to be able to take text that I've gotten from subject matter experts to condense it down to be more effective for learners. I use the text and audio features to create closed captioning. I love that feature. I just love that it has a ton of accessibility options.
  • For my users, it's really user-friendly in my opinion.
  • If I don't know how to do something, I can go to the internet or go to the community page and I can look up why my trigger doesn't work and somebody's encountered the issue before and I can get help. So I don't feel like I'm alone. I feel, like I said, there's a whole community of people utilizing it, so I feel like I always have support outside of the program.
  • I also love that there's consistent learning opportunities through the company. They have webinars that are real time or they always post them so you can go back and you can review them. I just love it really, honestly. I love it. I used Captivate before and this is a huge step up compared to that. It's PowerPoint on steroids if we even want to compare it to PowerPoint. There's just so much that you can do. I feel like it's limitless and I'm constantly learning.
Cons
  • One of the areas, and I know AI is really new, but the images part, I really am excited. I'm hopeful that it will grow and get better, but if you type in to find an image, for example, I work for Girl Scouts, so I type Girl Scouts. I've gotten images where hands were missing and things like that, so I know over time it will get better. It's kind of laughable, but it's not usable. So that's one area that I definitely can see that it can improve. Other than that, I feel like the developers are up with the time, so whenever there is a concern or there might be a bug or something, it's really remedied or fixed or they create the ability to do whatever people have asked for. So there's not really anything that I'm lacking that I need right now in storyline.

Very important service to maintain constant learning in the company.

  • I love being able to fully prepare the learning material through recordings and narrations, this is relatively important because I can explain in detail the learning that will be had in each module of a course for our employees, this way it will be much easier to learn and advance in each module.
  • Employees can organize themselves and have a joint learning, where they can share ideas, receive feedback, receive brainstorming, share their progress in taking a course and much more.
  • It gives us a real-time view of all the training that a new employee and a former employee has had. This feature is the most important because I can be 100% aware of each employee's performance and the knowledge they have obtained in a specific time.
Cons
  • The AI system doesn't work as well, sometimes it's not able to automatically create diagrams to present a course idea.
  • Another feature that is a bit noticeable is that Articulate 360 doesn't have a wide variety of templates to be able to create content, that means that if you try to create a recorded and narrated learning process for your employees, you'll have many limitations regarding the available templates.
