Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

Only for external trainings. Largely for either first responder trainings or OSHA trainings. We have done occasional stand alone trainings but largely they are parts of packaged learning similar to chapters in a textbook. We only use Rise so far but I would like to start using Storyline for more customizability.

Pros

  • It is neat and looks good
  • You can include assessments, visuals, without learners having to leave the window
  • I really like the hot spot images. They are a great way to get explain concepts

Cons

  • It’s unnecessarily difficult to switch between block types
  • It can be hard to change the colour of text. I would like to be able to store a hex code and not have to copy and paste it in every time
  • The review feature is very clunky. It can be really hard to find the content that people are commenting on. And the commenters don’t really see the other comments to elaborate on
  • I don’t know anything about the risk but I would love to learn more about it!
  • I also think that a lot of the functionality/colour contrast isn’t accessible so in order to create accessible content I’ve had to not use some features.
  • I think training costs are a bit lower because one person can do it all and still have it look polished and professional
I only use Rise so far but I would really like to learn Storyline
I have only used it for switching between block types. Which was fully manual pre-AI when all content needed to be entirely rewritten. I love that this feature now exists but I don’t understand why it needs AI to do it.
It’s not intuitive but people have put together great information that’s easily accessible for troubleshooting or advice
I have used a lot of bespoke in house products that are similar to Rise. As well as PowerPoint. PowerPoint is not interactive so that is a strong benefit of Articulate. Typically the in house products are more customizable but less attractive and don’t work as well out of the box.

Do you think Articulate 360 delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Articulate 360's feature set?

Yes

Did Articulate 360 live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Articulate 360 go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Articulate 360 again?

Yes

I think it’s really good for when you want something that is templated. It works best when you’re using features out of the box as native functionality. If you try to customize or change things (like using a darker orange for better visual contrast) it uses way too many clicks and you keep having to redo it.
