Overall Satisfaction with Authorize.Net

We use authorize.net to charge our clients for our services. When a company first becomes a client, they fill out a DocuSign, which has an integration with authorize.net. When they fill out our service agreement, there's also a separate section where they input their billing information directly into authorize.net so our team never sees it.

Later we can use authorize.net to automatically charge their cards for their payments. It's very secure and keeps us PCI compliant.
  • Authorize.net is good for getting billing information and having it secured with a 3rd party. Most platforms allow them to pay but not for you to be able to charge the card later when needed.
  • It has integrations with a lot of platforms and that is good.
  • It allows you adjust security settings and a lot of important enterprise features.
  • The interface is ugly and not intuitive.
  • It makes you constantly change your passwords, although that is understandable.
  • Saving billing information securely and in a way that is PCI compliant.
  • Integrations with DocuSign.
  • Lets us charge cards so we can get paid on time, every time.
  • It was very difficult to setup the DocuSign integration the first time, but after we got it setup, it's made the onboarding process very easy. That probably saves about 30 minutes every time we get a new client.
We used Authorize.net when we signed up with our processor. It's interesting because every processor we talked to used authorize.net. I think there are a couple other big players in this space but it seemed like authorize.net was the leader by far. I haven't compared them to other platforms but their reputation seems to be very strong. The fees are minimal too.

Do you think Authorize.net delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Authorize.net's feature set?

Yes

Did Authorize.net live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Authorize.net go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Authorize.net again?

Yes

It's great if you need to record billing information for future payments. It's a lot easier than having to send invoices and waiting for the clients to pay every time. Of course, if you're prepaying or something like that, I wouldn't think authorize.net is necessary. Once you get to $10,000/month in credit card transactions, that's when you'd want to look into things like authorize.net from what I understand.
