Overall Satisfaction with Automox
I currently use Automox for patching workstations and servers. We also use the application to push out powershell scripts global and to update certain applications via a script. This is our go to for global script execution.
Pros
- Patching windows and most 3rd party applications
- Pushing out Powershell scripts to devices on a global scale
- Reporting on patch validation
Cons
- Patching Firmware and Drivers
- Patching certain 3rd party apps such as Teams and Webex
- Better navigation from policies to groups
- The product has cut down on time it takes to patch devices
- The product has made it easier for global scale deployment
Not much changes except for better time management.
Pop up notifications are nice but sometimes annoying.
Microsoft Office still patches on its own even though Automox is set to only be the source of patching
