Overall Satisfaction with Automox

We have a pretty sizeable number of mobile clients and trying to get those devices in house on a regular basis was problematic. Automox enabled us to be able to automate a lot of software patching and maintenance that reduced exposure windows and enabled employees to continue to work without the inconvenience of having to bring their devices to the office for patching and updating.

Pros

  • Update third-party applications
  • Update operating system
  • Allow for policy enforcement/application.

Cons

  • Apply updates without enduser acknowledgement for certain conditions
  • We have not been able to realize any significant ROI at this time.
Honestly, we are still working to get to that point where all the devices are at the same level of patching. This may be due to some devices that aren't used as often and, therefore, are not avaiable for patching or are not operational for a sufficient time interval to allow for complete processing.
There is room for improvement.

Do you think Automox delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Automox's feature set?

Yes

Did Automox live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Automox go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Automox again?

Yes

The product is well positioned to assist IT teams with device maintenance in environments where mobility is predominant. It is especially helpful for disparate systems. It does have some overlap with Intune and that could compete for prioritization of policies and updates.
