Overall Satisfaction with AxisCare Home Care Software

We use AxisCare Home Care Software for scheduling, payroll and recording client and caregiver information. I have not had any issues with the desktop software but have several caregivers who have issues with the app. They have to close everything out and refresh or sometimes even uninstall the app completely and reinstall it for them to be able to clock in and out.

Pros

  • Call logs are recorded in client files for easy reference
  • Billing and payroll reports are easy to navigate
  • The maps function that allows the system to suggest a caregiver based on their home location is nice

Cons

  • Refresh time after changes are entered on a schedule. Sometimes there is a lag in the update on the caregiver side.
  • Changing set schedules can sometimes be a little much since you have to scroll through the AM and PM time by each minute, instead of being able to enter a time.
  • I cannot think of anything else. Most everything works well.
The desktop seems to work great but I get a lot of complaints on the app that the caregivers have downloaded to view their schedules and clock in and out on.

Would you buy AxisCare Home Care Software again?

Yes

A well suited scenario would be where the program identifies the home address of available caregivers, along with any conflicts to better find a replacement for someone if they call off sick.

A less appropriate scenario would be the glitches that caregivers are reporting with the app. Some caregivers are stating they cannot clock out without having to enter a note beside each ADL lately. I am still new to the company, so I don't have as much experience with the app as some of the more senior managers.

The program is very easy to navigate and there are new features I am learning along the way that have come in handy.

Evaluating AxisCare Home Care Software and Competitors

  • Ease of Use
I was not involved in the process but from what I understand, there was better support as far as IT and the program is very easy to navigate.

AxisCare Home Care Software Implementation

  • Mobile app issues seemed to be a complaint but that is the case with any change usually.
  • Permission settings are sometimes off as far as entering items on the invoicing side.
  • Some of the forms make you select "incontinence" issue, even if you do not mark that the client is incontinent.

  • Changing pay rate
  • Running reports
  • Changing schedules can sometimes be difficult if you forget to check the bottom to toggle existing visits already scheduled.
  • Clock in and out seems to be an issue at times with some employees but that is more related to the mobile app.
  • Entering tasks and having the tasks pop up automatically to remind you without opening them daily.
