Overall Satisfaction with AxisCare Home Care Software

AxisCare is our scheduling software and the heart of our business. What drew us to AxisCare and what we really like are the reports and different ways to views and analyze our home care data. two of the biggest problems that AxisCare addressed for us were client forms and notes as well as caregiver application accessibility. The ability to create our own nursing forms, complete them in the clients profile, and then have the profile update itself automatically from these forms, has made our onboarding process more efficient and easier to understand each client's specific needs. Our caregivers have struggled to use and understand our scheduling phone applications in the past; the AxisCare app has more tools for the caregivers and has navigation-friendly interface which has led to fewer phone calls to assist our overall caregiver pool.

Pros

  • Customizable Reports help to pull specific data that we want to analyze.
  • Documentation and notes are easy to find and not a task.
  • Customizable and detailed calendars help to give a snapshot of client and caregiver hours, which can be helpful when looking at and reducing overtime.

Cons

  • We are newer to AxisCare so there may be a report for this, but it would be nice to have a prebuilt 'overtime hours' report or to include this on the Gross Margin Report.
  • We are still newer to AxisCare so I do not have a lot of feedback around ROI but the ability for our nurses to complete nursing forms in AxisCare will likely end up saving us $250-$500 a month, that we had currently spent on document software/cloud storage.
I find that AxisCare is easy to navigate due to the tabs on client and caregiver profiles. The baseline services such as the calendars, pre-built reports, and note taking tools have been simple to introduce to staff. We find ourselves exploring more tools organically but AxisCare's weekly webinars and updates help point us in the direction we want to go with some of their tools.
The number one reason we switched from Wellsky to AxisCare simply came down to one thing, vendor interaction. We found that it was difficult to reach out to and hear back from Wellsky's support during our last few months with them. From our exploratory call, to our onboarding, to now being 6 months into our time with AxisCare; we have always heard from AxisCare's support team in a timely manner and are very satisfied with their continual updates to their software.

If you like data and analyzing data then Axiscare is well suited for your outfit. If you have office staff members that are not very computer-savvy or interested in deeper dives into numbers then my belief is that AxisCare may not be the best software for you, as it may seem like too much information. However, AxisCare's support teams have been helpful to us and I am sure they could help navigate any difficulties an agency may have.
