Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR®

We use BambooHR for our wholistic HR platform in our medium sized business. We utilize BambooHR for payroll, time off management, onboarding, employee reviews, and document storage. Previously, we did not have a good method for reviews and document storage and this all in one small business solution was a good fit for us.

Pros

  • Ease of use for both employees and employer
  • Simple interface
  • Reporting

Cons

  • BambooHR doesn't have a Workers Comp option and we had to continue to self manage that.
  • Hiring and onboarding is a pleasure with this product. Easy to communicate with potential hires and move right into offer and hire.
  • Using the document signing features made onboarding, redistribution of policies, and employee reviews and write up a breeze.
Simple and easy to use screens eliminate confusion and difficult navigation. Having both web based and app options increase the ease of using this product.
No general complaints on support. We would reach out when we were stuck or were having a problem and items were addressed appropriately.
Reporting made it easy to review benefits withholdings, made it easy to create journal entries for my QuickBooks, and made it easy to provide payroll information for IRS and other reporting.
The platform for both employees and employer were way easier to use and navigate. Additionally, VensureHR generated many errors which we did not see with BambooHR.

Onboarding process was simple and the entire platform is generally easy to use. It makes it a good option for a smaller business without a true HR professional on staff. Additionally, the HR support that can be added on is another reason this is a good fit for smaller companies.
