Overall Satisfaction with Barracuda Message Archiver
We archive all mails to be able to keep mailboxes small (max 1 year of email online) and to avoid deletions of all emails due to bad intent, accident or virusses.
Pros
- easy implementation
- retention policies in the archive
- integration on the client.
Cons
- the folder structure of the mailbox is harder to keep up with
- it is a bit confusing when you search for non email items, like contacts.
- easy setup in office 365
- easy client tool to find email
- set and forget
- i had no negative impact.
It was a lot cheaper, i mean a awfull lot.

Using Barracuda Message Archiver
200 - Every office user, who has a mailbox, uses the archiver to find back old emails.
2 - Our support and systems department helps people with the archive solution. Mostly it is : how do i logon, i did not find an email ,etc. Mostly basic user support, but not much.
- Achive all mails (do not lose any mail)
- keep the operational mailbox as small as possible
- retention of mails when co-workers leave
- We recovered from a grunty old employee who erased all his mails/contact persons
- even when office 365 is down, in theorie we could see incoming mail...
