Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud K-12 “ON” Solutions
Across all four school divisions. Though the upper grades use it more than the preschool.
- Integrates everything for the student so that they have one place to track all assignments and one place to view all grades. This is also true for parents.
- Teachers can upload easily from gradebooks to create report cards and transcripts with a few clicks for an a tire class.
- Teachers can create content and easily import it year to year and adjust rather than recreating every year.
- The transcript and report card look could allow for more flexibility, more choice in formatting for schools.
- The main screen view for teachers should have more color choice for schools.
- Within classes students should be able to upload files for other students to view not just to their teachers.
- Teachers no longer have to think to or remember to upload. This system just automatically saves and it's online so no more mistakes putting things out there or angry parents because a teacher has forgotten to upload on Friday.
- No more money spent on paper report cards or paying people to do all the printing folding and stuffing. No more mail costs.
- Parents know more about what is going on because it's easy to pull up on the phone.
- No more complaints about vastly different teacher websites since everyone is in he same software.
- Blackboard and Schoology
We originally had Blackboard but it did not bring everything together in one place and frustrated parents, particularly those with more than one child. The high school not as much as the younger divisions. It was not setup in a way that teachers of younger kids could use. It did not have the photo and video share features that Oncampus does. Schoology I have only used as a student once and it also does not seem to bring everything together for multiple classes and kids for parents.
