Overall Satisfaction with Bloomerang

We are a small PreK-8 school. Bloomerang is primarily used in our development/advancement department but is utilized by the admissions department, Head of School's office and sometimes communications to access contact information for our constituents.
  • Reporting is user-friendly, easy and quick so it doesn't bottleneck work for the main administrator of the database.
  • It can be accessed from anywhere because it's web-based so our Head of School can access on the road.
  • Thank you letter process is a bit difficult to customize.
  • Customization of dashboard/profile/gift entry could be useful - there are many blank fields we don't use that could be removed.
  • Reporting based on region would be helpful.
  • Uploading profile pictures instead of just relying on Twitter.
Bloomerang is very user friendly and easy to navigate. All databases have their quirks and I think for a small organization that doesn't need advanced reporting or integration with their business office or admissions department, this is perfect.
I've tried multiple times (with tech support) to create a complicated report that includes all gifts made to the annual fund this fiscal year but it is more complicated because we want to include pledges that are either not yet paid or have been partially paid. Since we have never found the right way to construct this query, I've been tracking it in a separate Excel spreadsheet and have to do double data entry to check myself.
