Overall Satisfaction with Board

We were in need of a reliable reporting tool that had to process and analyze how our services were performing among our clients. We needed it to be intelligent enough in terms of forecasting so that we were able to make better budgeting decisions and plan finances. We hired a financial consultant, and he had suggested going with Board, and when we did, it changed our game completely. Ever since, we have been able to better manage and monitor our budgets, cash flow, etc. The analysis and self-service reporting capabilities that Board provides have been a game-changer in helping us optimize our financial planning.

Pros

  • The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate
  • You don't need programming knowledge to create dashboards which is a great flex for non-technical users
  • You can seamlessly convert large, raw, and complex data to meaningful reports to visualize better and plan to act accordingly
  • The financial forecasting that Board provides post-analysis is truly reliable

Cons

  • The support turn-around time for critical issues could be improved a bit. We had to wait a few days for a couple of critical issues to be solved.
  • The cost is a little bit on the higher end of the spectrum. This could be a deal-breaker for startups and small companies.
  • Apart from a few minor issues, there isn't much to dislike about Board. It's a reliable platform that does the job of enabling better decision-making.

  • With effective financial analysis and planning and using Board, we were able to see a +18% QoQ revenue increase consistently for seven months straight
  • Using Board Dashboards, the senior management was able to better & clearly understand the financial position of the company at a given time and take better strategic decisions
1) One of the main reasons we went for Board is that the consultant we hired was confident that it would be a game-changer in terms of financial analytics. He proved to be right.
2) Board has a great user community, so help is something that is always available even if their customer support isn't.
Well Suited: Most of the time, creating budgets and planning finances from an organization level can be messy and involve a lot of intense discussions. Board does the job well and behaves like a funnel that converts raw and complex data to beautiful, meaningful, and actionable reports. Ever since our purchase, it has been a major player in the growth of our business.

Less Appropriate: I really can't think of a situation where I would not recommend Board to a business that wants to thrive, but as I've mentioned in the dislikes, the cost is a bit high, and that could be a dealbreaker for startups and small companies.
