Overall Satisfaction with BrightHR

I use BrightHR for my HR solutions. I never received proper training and I have to phone in when I have a problem. Sometimes I talked to very good staff with good knowledge of BrightHR & sometimes, in my opinion, the staff are deplorable. There are so many departments and telephone numbers and no one seems to know what is going on there.

Pros

  • Managing straight forward absences such annual leave works well.
  • Speaking to knowledgeable staff who understands the customer's challenges and who try to get a solution.
  • Setting up and reviewing Employment Contracts and Employees' Handbook
  • Update on Employment Law

Cons

  • In my experience, it is quite difficult to set up new employees especially those with complex work patterns.
  • I think improvement could be in the form of a proper manual that one can use instead of phoning in and being in long waiting queues.
  • I was very surprised and felt betrayed to find out that contract with BrightHR was renewed automatically after 3 years without any reminder to the customer. And I also learned later that if you wish to cancel your contract, you have to do it 6 months prior to the renewal date. I would like BrightHR to send a reminder to customer and asked them whether they wish to renew their contract and do not take them by suprise.
  • Improvement could be to incorporate increased annual leave due to length of service.
  • Difficult question to answer as we are a Charity

My latest experience where BrightHR is well suited were the conversations/help and support I had with 2 members of staff - [...] who helped me to incorporate increased annual leave due to length of service at the beginning of this financial year. They also helped with Monday Bank Holidays for one member pf staff who doe not work on Mondays. Less appropriate: in my experience, some staff do not understand the software and employment law and advise inappropriately
