Overall Satisfaction with Brightmine
We use Brightmine for generic HR advice, templates and letters that we may not already have in the business or when it comes to new legislation we may draw upon Brightmine for new policy wording and templates. We also have the legal services add on which can come in handy for none complex queries, however for complex issues i do not find the legal helpline helpful.
Pros
- The range of letter templates and policies that are at hand
- Quick response to legal advice - usually within 1-2 hours if sent via email
- Wide range of discussion topics to spark conversation and understand whats upcoming
Cons
- Legal advice on complex issues is quite vague and woolly, you don't get any concrete advice which i'm assuming is because of liability
- Lack of employment law info/guidance/best practice when it comes to day to day processes and the smaller nuanced HR activities
- Most of our policies start with templates from Brightmine, so time is saved on research
- Same with our letter templates, most of them start from Brightmine templates and build up from there - just saves time on research and gives you a solid foundation to work from
We only currently use HR & Compliance Center with legal advice added
it's a great starting point for anything we are unsure on
We may have had one call with this team around 18 months ago around international employment law but this is it. no further interactions
