Overall Satisfaction with BrowserStack
We use it for browser/device application testing and screen captures for tutorials/guides.
Pros
- Device emulation
- Application testing
- Screen capture
Cons
- Would like for screen capture to have the ability to only record the device screen rather than whole web page
- It has a little bit of latency so can be hard to know if an app is having an issue running or if it is BrowserStack
- While hasn't posed an issue yet, I have noticed some missing browser versions
- Application testing
- Automations
- Debugging
- Has reduced the number of physical devices needed
- Has broadened the scope of what we test
- Has helped speed up certain repetitive tasks
We did not have enough devices that could emulate the different OS versions, aspect ratios, and manufacturer types that can be found within BrowserStack. A lot of testing was potentially missed out and that lead to us not knowing about certain compatibility issues. Also manually testing is overly repetitive, so automating has definitely sped up the process.

For what I am currently using the products for, yes they have met my needs. There is a need to integrate BrowserStack into our processes a lot more now that we are using it more often. Once we discover more about how we are performing our testing internally, then we will figure out if BrowserStack is still meeting our needs.
