Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

Ceridian Dayforce is used by our whole organization from benefits to payroll to time keeping. We enjoy the simplicity of having 1 platform and hope to incorporate more components, such as recruiting and performance mgt in the future.
  • Online benefits enrollment - our employees can now choose their elections anytime as opposed to meeting 1:1 with a benefits counselor.
  • Benefits carrier feeds - frees up my time so I don’t have to enter new hires and terms.
  • When we 1st implemented, the recruiting module was not up to par- the resumes were so small and couldn’t be read.
  • Reduced reliance on paper
ACA tracking and reporting
[Ceridian Dayforce] Saves time and keeps us in compliance. Less manual tasks.
Unfortunately for our company, our implementation team (on the employer side) did not set up our org structure correctly. This has led to some disappointments and we are currently discussing how to address them.

Using Ceridian Dayforce

493 - Associates use it for timekeeping purposes.
Payroll and accounting use it to pay associates and track GL.
Human Resources uses it for our HRIS and benefits enrollment system. We don’t have other functions turned on yet.
5 - Must understand system updates and how hot fixes can work but also undo something in another area. Payroll and HR should work closely together and learn each function of the system in order to understand the bigger picture or what DF can accomplish

Happy with DF. Unfortunately our implementation did not go well. We’ve finally figured out that our Org structure was set up in correctly and caused a bunch of issues along the way. We are in the process of hiring a consultant

Evaluating Ceridian Dayforce HCM and Competitors

Yes - ADP - payroll and finance departments were unhappy with system limitations

Ultipro and Dayforce were the final contenders. The payroll and finance departments chose DF because it appeared that the system could better handle the unique way we pay people
Talk to more references. Talk our time with implementation. Request that the implementation team not have as much turnover during the process.

Hindsight- use a 3rd party consultant
  • Our VP’s did not want us leading outside of our specialty
  • We did not get to run our 2 consecutive payrolls with ADP to test
  • Language barrier

We set our system up very rigidly so I’m not sure
Make sure you have your pay and punch policies tightened up before you start this process

Most of the support team work hard to resolve the issues. We have had one question that’s been sitting out there for over 1 year though. Also,
