Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
Ceridian is used mostly at the corporate level in processing payroll. The company population, however, does use Ceridian for viewing of pay statements as well as the mobile application.
- I think the biggest strength I see so far with Ceridian is how it has streamlined payroll processing.
- Another feature that is very beneficial with Ceridian is some of the flexibility in dealing with payroll elections. Coming from a legacy system, this system does do much more than what our payroll department was use to.
- Ceridian is pretty simplistic when setting up new deductions codes and earnings codes.
- I think the hardest area for Ceridian is the reporting. The reports that are used are not always user friendly and it is very hard to create a report.
- I sometimes see issues with the different interfaces from our HR system to the payroll system.
- The file feeds to outside vendors seems to be an ongoing issue for implementation.
- We have definitely have seen increased efficiency within the payroll processing.
- It does not handle all of our calculations according to our company policies thus creating some manual work.
- It has reduced our processing time significantly.
Ceridian has definitely helped with taxing laws that were non-existent in our legacy system.
Unfortunately the only module we currently are using is the payroll module which has no impact on the scheduling, compensation, etc. We use PeopleSoft for HR and Kronos for time and attendance.
The main impact of having a different software for HR, time, and attendance is that the interfaces have to go between each system, thus creating issues. For example, HR data not coming across to Ceridian, time and attendance having to be loaded within one day in timesheets for Ceridian, i.e. 40.00 reg and 10.00 OT all on the same day, as a weekly amount rather than a day by day time and attendance. Benefits in Ceridian are showing one pay period behind, etc.
