Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

Ceridian is used for ESS and payroll for our whole organization.
  • Employee self service.
  • Applicant tracking.
  • Timesheets.
  • Project tracking and reporting.
  • Time reporting.
  • Reporting module.
  • Processing and tracking FMLA has been negatively impacted, system does not handle the process well.
  • Applicant tracking has been a big plus.
  • Timesheet reporting is lacking, particularly when related to audit trails and reporting needed for auditors.
In some areas, mostly relating to H/R compliance is great. On the payroll side we have had issues getting reports that show our auditors that we are compliant with our grant requirements.
Most of these functions are handled outside the system, in part because of the difference in how these things are handled on a departmental basis. Ceridian has had little impact.
Our prior system also integrated all three and was more user friendly from the back end (sys admin) side, but less so on the employee side. Ceridian is more user friendly on the employee side, where it is truly needed. From a system admin point of view some things are very easy to set up, particularly with the recent updates to HTML. We have not had any luck getting Ceridian to integrate with any outside system.
We have a timesheet process more similar to what is done by government contractors. Ceridian has been very difficult to adapt to our needs despite assurances during implementation that it would work seamlessly.
